Death's Favor - Jill Ramsower

 Danika

I ran from my Russian father to escape an arranged marriage

and ended up handcuffed to an Italian mafia hitman … in his bed.

He’s as intensely beautiful as he is ruthless.
A dichotomy of callous yet kind that fascinates me, though I know it shouldn’t.
The man’s a killer.

But more than that, he suffers from compulsions—a need to control every aspect of his life.
And now that I’ve entered his world, I’ve become his ultimate fixation.

My Review

Death's Favor (The Moretti Men, #2)Death's Favor by Jill Ramsower
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't actually remember how many of Jill Ramsower's books I've read now. I think that there may be one I've missed (but I will be going back to) but I've read all of the others and they just get better and better.
Tommy is an unusual hero. Yes, he's strong, good-looking and loves fiercely, but there's more to him than this. Tommy doesn't fit easily into the world. He likes order and struggles when things change or don't behave as they should. He's neurodivergent (although undiagnosed and it's never explicitly said what he 'has'). He's also a hit man. As I say, not your obvious romantic hero. But that doesn't matter. Once he meets Danika, she becomes his everything and the feeling is returned.
I loved these two as a couple. they worked so well together, even if it took a little time for them to figure that out for themselves.
This was a great read and I loved every second of it. My only regret is reading it far to fast and now it's over. Please pick up a copy, you won't regret it.
