Player's Kiss - Sienna Blake

Player's Kiss

It was supposed to be my big break—landing the coveted spot as the All Ireland Rugby team's new PR assistant.

Instead I've become a glorified babysitter, lumped with the heinous job of keeping their star winger out of trouble and out of the papers.

Eoin O'Sullivan.
Cocky. Charming. Outrageous. Destined to drive me feckin crazy.
Party boy.
Ladies man.
An absolute PR nightmare.

Never mind that he's can’t-take-my-eyes-off-you gorgeous. Forget that the sparks (and insults) fly whenever we're together.

Too bad he's decided that torturing me is his new favourite “game”. And he's not stopping till he gets what he wants…

Me. Naked.

My Review

After Eoin got his heart broken in the last Irish Kiss novel, My Brother's Girl, he had to have his own story and have things put right. The Eoin we knew before, quick to give his heart and eager for love is long gone. But perhaps this new Eoin might be ready for a more mature and real love if he can stop feeling sorry for himself and wallowing in self-destruction long enough that is.

Duffy has one focus in life; to be a success. If she can control Eoin long enough and keep him out of trouble, then she might get all that she's ever wanted. The security that her mother was never able to give her as a child. The only problem is that the more time she spends with Eoin, the more that she finds herself acting like her love-hungry mother, risking everything for a man.

I loved the development of these two characters. Although Eoin seems like a man child to begin with and Duffy much too serious, they both have a lot of developing and maturing to do, in order to discover what is really important and to become the person that the other needs.

After the last book in the series, which if I'm honest left me feeling a little unsettled about the relationship in it, this was a great concluding read. While both books are very much stand-alone novels, this is one of those that I think that you will get even more out of if you read both books.

My Brother's Girl - Sienna Blake

My Brother's Girl

Darren O'Sullivan

Reason #3 To Dislike Kayleigh Scott: she laughed far too loud.

Reason #2 To Really Dislike Kayleigh Scott: her giggle was even worse.

I didn't need her working for me, her damn strawberries and cream shampoo cutting through the smell of petrol oil in my mechanic garage. I liked being on my own in the darkness under the hood. I deserved to be alone.

I didn't need her fingers brushing mine as she passed me the wrench. Didn't need her trying to change things, fix things, to fix me.

I didn't want her around my family, enchanting them with her dimpled smile, her infectious laughter. Didn't need them to fall in love with her... especially not my baby brother, Eoin.

Reason #1 To Really, Really Dislike Kayleigh Scott:

...she was my brother's girl.

My Review

When you start a Sienna Blake book, you always know that you are going to be in for much more than a simple romance story. My Brother's Girl is no exception to this. Darren has a great deal of baggage and it has stopped him from trying to find happiness, believing that he doesn't deserve it. Family to him is everything, so when he finds that he has feelings for his younger brother's girlfriend, he knows that he has to stay away from her.

Kayleigh also has her issues. The way her parents have treated her as she grew up means that she is frightened to cause problems or to speak up for what she actually wants. This is why, when Eoin sweeps her off her feet, she goes along with the relationship, even though she doesn't feel the same way that he does.

This is a good and thought-provoking read. I felt for Darren throughout the book, struggling between doing what is right and what he wants. I have to admit that I wasn't as keen on Kayleigh. I think that the way that she goes along with Eoin and the relationship even letting him taking it further is awful. Yes, she has issues that make her like this, but ultimately the way she behaves around both men is cruel and at more than one point I thought that they would both be better off without her.

The end of this book is ultimately satisfying. I still wasn't that keen on Kayleigh, but Darren clearly is, so I can let that pass. Overall, this was a good read and I really enjoyed it.

Warning: Don't read this novel if you can't handle three Irish hotties fighting for their woman, fierce brotherly competition, and each laying claim to their woman in their own way.

My foster father is a very bad man. I’m carrying a secret of his that could get me killed. So I head to the last place that ever felt like safety…

The childhood home of the Cassidy brothers.

Aogán, Tristan & Donncha were as much of my childhood as choc chip cookies and hopskotch. We used to roam like wildlings around their large country estate. I haven’t seen them since the accident that made me an orphan three years ago.

Boy, have they grown up. Tall, dark haired and eyes like the Galway Sea, with shoulders broad enough to keep me safe. Just like when we were kids, they shelter me. Care for me… Love me.

But how will they feel when they find out I'm in love with all of them? How will they deal with the terrible secret I’m carrying?

My Review

Who wouldn't want to have their cake and eat it, especially if said cake was actually three very sexy brothers? Although Orla has had a very rough time in the last three years, all her dreams seem to be coming true when she returns to her home time and finds herself romantically involved with not just one boy next door, but all three of them.
These quick and dirty reads are a lot of fun. I don't think I could really see three brothers agreeing to share one woman, but for the purpose of a bit of escapism, why not. All three of the brothers have different personalities and this is why Orla wants all three and finds it hard to choose, they all offer something different.
This was a quick fun read, great if you want to escape for a bit.

Fighter's Kiss - Sienna Blake

Fighter's Kiss

An Irish Kiss novel by

USA Today bestseller Sienna Blake is LIVE

and we're celebrating with a HUGE giveaway!

Declan “The Homewrecker” Gallagher.
World #1 MMA Champion.
Broad shoulders, perfect eight pack and the temper of a bull.
Still recovering from a car accident that broke his body.
Still married to the cheating supermodel bitch who broke his heart.

…My new boss

I can’t even begin to list all the reasons why getting close to him is a bad idea.
Or going to that fancy red carpet thing as his date.
Or letting him kiss me like he might never let me go.

Did I say bad idea?
Scratch that.

Worst. Idea. Ever.

 My Review

As much as I've been enjoying reading Sienna Blake's quick and dirty series, I was really looking forward to the Fighter's Kiss. I'm happy to report that it was more than worth the wait. Like the other books in this series, the hero and heroine have all kinds of issues to work through on their way to true love.
Declan has been an MMA fighter (mixed martial arts, which apparently people watch worldwide, but I'm obviously mixing in the wrong circles as I know next to nothing about it.) His career has been ruined after his wife left him for a rival and he went out and crashed his car. River is running from her own past. She is ashamed of the upbringing that she has had and is desperately trying to work her way to a better life.
River is a strong character and is exactly what the damaged Declan needs, someone who stands up to him and calms him, rather than someone who just bends to what he thinks he wants. He offers her what she needs and they work really well together.
Their relationship works well and the way that they faced what they really wanted and what was important to them made for a gripping read. Declan starts out as quite a closed-off character and it's hard as a reader to get a grip on who he is. As the story progresses and he gets to know River more, she begins to help him to open up and we learn more about him and what motivates him. Even the way that he thinks about River changes, in the early chapters he just refers to her as 'the girl' but as she becomes more important to him he sees her more as a woman in her own right.
This is a great read, I really enjoyed it.

About the author

My Review

I've always had a bit of a thing for friends to lovers stories and that is what we get in Irish Lottery. While this is one of the Irish Kiss series, it also contains a reverse harem scene, which tend to appear in her quick and dirty reads. This is only one scene in this story and the whole book is one that leads to a happily ever after between the main couple. As with previous books, from both this series and Sienna Blakes other series, once I started, I didn't want to put it down and devoured it pretty quickly.
Both of the main characters, Noah and Aubrey are very likeable and while the idea behind the lottery that gives the book its title seemed a little far fetched, it didn't really matter as it just made for a fun read. I also liked Noah's three brothers and wonder (hope) that they are perhaps going to get their own stories soon.
This story also looks at the double standards that sometimes seem to exist between the way that men and women are treated when it comes to sexual desire and promiscuity.
Overall this is a bit of a feel good, makes you all warm inside romance, which sometimes, particularly when it's wet, cold and miserable outside, is just what you want.

My Irish Kings - Sienna Blake

MY IRISH KINGS

A Quick and Dirty novel by USA Today bestseller Sienna Blake is LIVE

and we're celebrating with a HUGE giveaway!

Five years I’ve been kept under the control of Ireland’s most vicious gang leader. Now that I’m eighteen, he’s forcing me to marry him. I’d rather die a thousand deaths.

I escape to the only place I can be safe -- home of my captor’s biggest rival, the Irish Kings.

There’s X, the living weapon with a haunted past. His vicious touch helps release all this anger in me.

Jace, the teddy bear with a warrior’s heart. His melodic Irish brogue is a balm to my soul.

And Magnar King, their intimidating leader. Whose eyes flare with hunger when I’m near, yet backs away like I’ve burned him when we touch. He doesn’t remember me. But I remember him.

They’re all so different. But they all make me feel safe. They awaken needs in me—strange needs.

want all of them.

But I just might need all of them to heal.

This is a smoking hot yet emotional reverse-harem romance, a full-length, standalone novel. Three sexy Irish brothers-in-arms who aren’t afraid to share and take their special women to the ends of her pleasure.

Sienna’s Quick & Dirty series consists of standalone novels which are hotter, dirtier and quicker than her other novels.

My review

I love it when a new Sienna Blake book comes out. It does usually mean that I don't get a lot done that day, as I can't put it down, but I'm not really complaining. This latest one is from the Quick and Dirty series, which means that it's a bit quicker than some of her other books but just as hot.
I really enjoyed this read that had not just one, but three big, sexy, Irish men in it. Poor girl, having to fall for all three of them and having all three of them fall for her. There was also the added bonus of a few characters from some of Sienna's other books popping up as minor characters here. Something I always love to see.
If I had to make a complaint, it would be that I finished it far too soon. But there's not a lot I can do about that. Hopefully, Sienna will finish her next book just as soon and I don't have too long to wait!

My Review

A new Sienna Blake book is always dangerous. I've just got back from a trip overseas and have so much work to do that it's ridiculous. Unfortunately, once I'd picked this up, I couldn't resist keep reading and ended up getting very little done.

This is a reverse harem book, as in one woman, three men. I wasn't sure how this was going to work as the three men in question are brothers. I needn't have worried, as the book progressed it all seemed very natural.

To be honest, to begin with, Savannah is a bit annoying. She's a spoilt princess type who seems more interested in fashion and appearances than anything else. Once she leaves the life that she thought she had behind, she soon comes into her own and becomes much more likeable. It's a good job really, seeing as she gets to have three, very different, hot men. Killian, Fionn and Aiden are all very different despite being brothers and I think this is why this works as a reverse harem book.

This was a good read that I really enjoyed. There was also a little cameo appearance from one of Sienna's Irish Kiss books if you've followed that series. I love Sienna Blake's books and can't wait for the next one, hopefully next time I'll have a little less work on so I have time to read it!

Professor's Kiss by Sienna Blake

Danny O’Donaghue.
Indie rock god.
Ladykiller.
The devil with midnight hair and blue-flame eyes.

After six years I thought the pain of what he’d done to me had faded.
Guess not.
Because I’m standing in this crowded lecture hall of the most prestigious music school in Ireland, staring at the person who healed me when I was broken. Right before he shattered me beyond repair.
And I still feel everything.

My ex-best friend.
My first love.
My tormentor.

…is now my professor.

My Review

I'm always thrilled to get my hands on a new Sienna Blake book. Each one seems to be even better than the last. Professor's Kiss is the second book in the Irish Kiss series. Although the books are linked, with the heroes in each being friends, they can be read as stand-alone novels. This time we have the story of musician Danny, who has recently become a tutor at a prestigious music school in Dubin. Ailis knew Danny when they were both younger, she fell in love with him and then he broke her heart. She finds that he is now her tutor.

I was going to say that Sienna Blake really knows how to write a bad boy, except, I don't think that bad boy really sums up the character of Danny in this story. What Sienna Blake is really adept at, is writing characters that are complex, with complex issues. It's not that Danny is particularly 'bad' but for much of the book, he wasn't very likeable. Unlike the heroes in some romance novels, there is much to dislike about Danny. Of course, that's not all there is to him and despite his many failings, it's hard not to hope that he and Ailis will sort things out and find their way to happiness.

I loved the complex storyline and characterisation. Like many of Sienna Blakes books that I have previously read, I couldn't put this down once I had started. I suspect that Ailis actually deserved better than Danny. But that didn't stop me wanting to find their way to one another. In many ways, the fact that he needed to prove himself before they could properly be together and that Ailis wasn't a weak and wilting character herself, really added to the storyline.

I loved this book and can't wait to read the third book in the irish kiss series.
“Why do you hate me so much?” I demanded. “We used to be…friends. Best friends.”
More than friends.
I swallowed as the tender memories rose up in my mind, pricking the backs of my eyelids. “Why pick on me?”
I thought I saw a flash of pain in his eyes before it was smothered by a smirk. “I like to watch you squirm. You go all red in the face like a tomato when you get mad.”
That’s why he called me Dearg. Because of the way I blushed with my body. The way my pale skin was like a mood ring, broadcasting my anger, my embarrassment, my arousal.
“Why start that rumour?”
“Hypothetically,” he continued, “even if I was the one who started that rumour, you should be thanking me.”
“Thanking you?” My eyes almost bulged out of my head. I shoved at his chest. The asshole barely moved. I barely made a dent in his rock-hard muscles.
I was going to punch him, right there in his precious rock star junk. He better not want kids one day.
“You are fucking delusional.” I shoved him again.
This time he caught my wrist and spun me around, slamming me up against one of the lockers. The air whooshed out of me and not just because he was crushing me between the lockers and his hard body.
“Yeah, Dearg, you should be on your fucking knees thanking me with that pretty little mouth of yours around my dick.”
God. The sheer crudeness of his words. It should make me cringe. To slap him across the face. Instead, everything in my lower belly ached, my lips parted and all I could do was blink up at him.
“The pool for your v-card has been cancelled,” he continued. “That cunt will leave you alone now instead of trying like a fucking chump to pretend to be a good boyfriend while just wanting to get in your panties for money and bragging rights. So, yeah, you should be fucking thanking me.”
“You’re trying to tell me that you told everyone I was a god damn lesbian to help me?”
His lip lifted up. “Yeah. Say thank you.”
He shifted back, just an inch of space, just enough to allow him to drop his towel. He dropped it. Right in front of me. No shame.
I glanced down before I could stop myself, half mortified, half curiosity raging like a storm.
His dick was hard. Long and thick and…perfect.
“Go on, Dearg. What are you going to do with it?” he taunted in a low voice.
“I…”
Grab it.
Lick it.
Suck it.
Pull it inside me.
His arms came up beside my head and he leaned in, trapping me, his hard cock hot and hard against my belly. Dear God. I was going to combust. Or pass out from lack of oxygen.
“Or,” his lips traced my cheekbone, sending hot and cold shivers throughout my body, “maybe you really are a lesbian.”
Rage flooded over me, temporarily overriding lust. I shoved him back with both hands and he stepped back laughing.
Bastard. He didn’t want me. He was taunting me. Teasing me. Pushing me to breaking point.
He almost won.
And I almost gave in.
Stupid me, I almost gave in.
